The role
As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you’ll be joining an early-stage, product-led team to help design and build a new end-to-end platform that supports real-world field operations. The focus is on building foundational systems from scratch, particularly around scheduling, routing, workforce coordination, and integrating operational workflows with retail and customer-facing systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will be expected to contribute directly to design and implementation, while also helping shape architectural decisions across distributed systems and core platform components. The environment is pragmatic and modern, using technologies such as Node.js, Python, Go, Vue, and AWS (serverless and containerised services).
The product operates in a complex, real-world domain where existing tools are typically fragmented. The goal is to unify these workflows into a single cohesive platform, backed by an existing customer base rather than being a pure greenfield startup.
About you
You are a senior to principal-level engineer with experience building operational systems in domains such as field service management, logistics, marketplaces, or similar real-world, constraint-heavy environments. You enjoy solving complex, messy problems involving scheduling, routing, and distributed workflows, rather than purely abstract or CRUD-based systems.
You are comfortable working across the stack in a modern cloud environment, and have experience contributing to or leading architectural decisions in early-stage or evolving platforms. You can work independently, collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders, and enjoy shaping systems that have direct operational impact in the real world.
