Lead Product Designer

The role 
 
We’re looking for a Lead Designer to shape and elevate this company's product and service experiences. This is a senior, hands-on role that combines design leadership, product thinking, and delivery.

You’ll have the opportunity to set the design direction and lead the evolution of our design system. The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and will suit someone who can operate across UX, UI, and visual design, while remaining deeply grounded in user needs and business outcomes.
 
You will:

•  Set and uphold a clear design vision aligned with this company's product strategy and brand
• Own end-to-end design for complex product areas, from discovery through delivery
• Balance user needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial outcomes.
• Advocate for customer-centred design at leadership and delivery levels.

About you
 
As a Lead Product Designer, you will have:

•  7+ years of experience in product, UX, or digital design, including time as a senior
• Strong end-to-end product design capability (UX, interaction, and UI).
•  Proven ability to design complex workflows, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or B2B products
• Confidence working with research and analytics to inform design decisions.    

The offer

• Melbourne-based, working from their CBD office 4 days of week, 1 day work from home
• Competitive salary up to $180k + super, depending on experience
