Senior React Native Developer

The role 
Since 2016, this company has been revolutionising how the music and media industry manages and discovers files - becoming the go-to platform for artists, labels, and creative professionals worldwide. 

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in building elegant, performant, and scalable mobile applications that power how the music industry works. You’ll be hands-on in code, mentor other engineers, and help drive technical excellence across the mobile platform.
You’ll:

• Build and ship cross-platform mobile applications in React Native, contributing to the long-term mobile vision
• Write clean, scalable, and performant code that delivers a world-class user experience
• Design with offline capabilities, platform conventions, and security in mind
• Champion a culture of documentation, testing, and knowledge-sharing
• Lead planning and discussions for complex mobile projects
• Contribute to mobile development tooling, build systems, and CI/CD processes
• Stay curious - keep up with the latest in React Native and mobile best practices
• Mentor and inspire other engineers on the team

About you
You’re a builder, mentor, and problem-solver who thrives on delivering outstanding mobile experiences. You bring:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years building commercial React Native apps
• Deep understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and performance optimisation
• Experience with platform APIs, async handling, push notifications, and background tasks
• Familiarity with Expo, mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Maestro), and Git workflows
• Excellent communication skills
• The right to work in Australia
• BONUS: experience would audio player integrations is highly desirable
