Full Stack AI Engineer

The role

This company is building a new category of legal infrastructure: a Fact Management System that turns thousands of unstructured documents into structured, trustworthy knowledge for litigators. Already trusted by 2,000+ lawyers across Australia, the UK, and the US, including some of the country's biggest plaintiff and commercial firms.

You'll work across the full stack, shipping features that help lawyers extract facts, organise cases, visualise timelines, and draft bespoke documents. The AI layer isn't a side project here, it's the product. You'll integrate LLMs, build retrieval systems, design evaluation frameworks, and shape an adaptive UX that has to work under high stakes.

You'll lead technical design discussions, raise the engineering bar, and have direct input on how the team builds.

About you

• 5+ years shipping production software in fast-moving environments
• Strong full stack fundamentals: React and TypeScript on the frontend, Python, Node, or Go on the backend
• Hands-on experience on the AI application layer: agentic orchestration, RAG, LLM integration
• Solid grasp of data modelling, API design, and system architecture
• High agency, comfortable taking a problem from north star to shipped feature without hand-holding
• Thoughtful about AI: excited by the upside, grounded about the limits
