The Company
Join a small, senior team of software engineers in a well funded company, reporting directly to the engineering co-founders. Own features and help steer the direct of our ML product used by companies in Australia and the UK. And work on a product that users love.
About you
- You're a senior software engineer who has shipped ML-powered features to real users at a commercial product company, and you can talk concretely about how they worked and what you'd do differently
- You have genuine LLM intuition: when to use RAG vs prompting vs fine-tuning, how to improve output quality, how to build eval pipelines that tell you something meaningful
- Python is your primary language and you write clean, production-grade code with strong testing habits
- You're at home working closely with product and design, not just in the codebase
- You enjoy going deep on hard problems rather than jumping between shiny things
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or the Hugging Face ecosystem is a plus
- Approx. $160k–220k+ base + super (depending on experience)
- Remote first, anywhere in Australia, or hybrid in Melbourne if you're local
