The role
Successful Australian tech company looking for a Senior Software/Machine Learning Engineer to work on a semi-greenfield product utilising generative AI and ML that needs scaling. Use your search expertise to improve their semantic search capability.
About you
You're an ML engineer with a background in software engineering (TypeScript), building products at scale. You have commercial experience as a ML engineer working with recommendation engines & NLP. You'll also be someone who:
- Can evaluate RAG pipelines & work with real-time systems
- Seeks to collaborate to solve problems together with empathy and creativity
- Has experience working on large datasets and search solutions at scale.
- Enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge.
- Enjoys working in a hybrid working environment - meaning someone who enjoys working autonomously, documenting their work and processes, and can collaborate and communicate proactively in an asynchronous working environment, but also is able and wanting to work from their Surry Hills office at least 3 days a week.

TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, ProseMirror, PostgreSQL and AWS.
