The role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll report into the Head of DevOps and you will work closely with the Engineering team to deliver new features and optimise existing capabilities. A typical day will involve:
- Building, maintaining and managing AWS based infrastructure for their systems, both with Terraform and Click-Ops
- Identifying and improving scalability across their core gateway and Acquiring platforms
- Planning and implementing monitoring of systems to ensure system reliability
- Improving the continuous delivery process through automation and optimisation
About you
We're looking for someone who has experience in networking and on-premise / self hosted setups. You'll need to have deep and current knowledge of AWS services, especially VPC, SSN, Lambda, Athena, SQS and ECS Containers. You'll also have a strong working knowledge of Terraform, and containerisation tools and techniques. Experienced with SQL databases, ideally Postgres, as well as other data stores, such as Redis, DynamoDB would be great. And bonus points if you have experience working with Ruby/ Ruby on Rails.
