The role
We are after a Senior Backend Engineer who has experience building out large scale systems that are robust, resilient and scalable. Working closely with our architect, you'll help us rebuild our core services in Golang. We are also starting some projects in Rust, so there'll also be opportunities for you to learn it on the job. Our team is productive, collaborative and curious. There's a family feel to the company, and the founding members are still very much involved.

About you
Ideally you have commercial experience with Golang, though we are also open to backend engineers who have worked with other languages as well. You'll have experience with AWS / Azure / GCP. You like going deep into the systems you work on, and have a flexible, collaborative working style. You enjoy mentoring others and have the desire to step into a lead role in the future.

The offer

  • Work from the office in the Melbourne CBD. Flexible work hours.
  • Extra annual leave for each year you work at the company
  • Work closely with the architect and learn from other experienced engineers.
  • Opportunity to step into a lead role down the track

Apply now
I'm a technical recruiter who comes from a technical background, and I enjoy being part of the tech community. If you’re a developer, I’d love to hear from you, even if you’re not sure if this role is quite right. Most of our jobs at Lookahead aren’t advertised so we may have another role that’s a fit.
